Terms and conditions
I. Terms of participation and preliminary remarks
1. These conditions apply to visitors and registered members (hereinafter “user” or “player") of the Global Pokerleague (in the following "GPL") as agreed. Please read through carefully the terms and conditions before logging on.
2. The user of this site confirms to be at its full legal capacity, at least 18 years old and to fulfill all other conditions to be considered in his home country to participate in the services offered on this and the partners website.
3. GPL offers free participation in the Global Pokerleague and provides an online league system for the user.
4. GPL reserves the right to spot check the registration data. In case incorrect registration data is found, the complete team or the player are/is disqualified and excluded from the GPL.
5. The participation in the GPL is free.
II. Game operation online
1. Each player has to have a current player account on the website of the GPL partner.
2. Players without a current account need to open one using the link from the GPL website to our partner.
3. The players user name from the online partner has to be registered in the GPL profile of the user.
4. The GPL is not liable for technical or deviations failures of the website or the software of the online partner. This is the responsibility of their operating company.
5. The structure of the online games is determined by the online partner. The GPL has no influence thereof.
6. When using the poker software the user has to be aware of the terms of the operating company and accept them separately.
7. The ranking is for all aktiv players of the GPL (with positiv point records).
8. Before registering please inform yourself about the current laws of your home country for participation in the GPL.
III. Privacy
1. The data is treated confidentially and according to law. Further processing of personal data such as for partners of GPL advertising, market research or consulting services is accepted by the member when participating in the GPL.
IV. Responsibilities of the players
1. The GPL players commit themselves to provide truthful information (league points, team battle results, names, addresses, etc.). When giving false information no claims for a possible win can be made but immediate exclusion.
2. The player commits himself, to provide any images and sound material of a participation in GPL to GPL and partners free of charge. The existing material may be published without prior consent of the player.
3. The user agrees to give all information within the registry and use of the site truthfully and in all conscience. GPL gives no guarantees for the accuracy of the information by users and nor published on the website of the GPL.
4. The user will inform GPL of any changes as for example, its address, which are of importance for services provided by GPL. A transfer of player and team accounts to third parties is excluded.
5. The user recognizes hereby that the GPL is a free Poker League.
6. The user is obliged to keep his password secret and not to forward it to a third party.
7. The user agrees not to publish any unacceptabel matters on the GPL site. The GPL reserves the right to take legal action.
V. League operation
1. The GPL reserves the right to change the advertised prizes at any time (e.g. by new acquisition of sponsors or partners).
2. The availability and functionality of the League operation is not guaranteed by the GPL.
3. The GPL strives to ensure a smooth running of the League. However, it is possible that there is interferences of the League operation. For this, the GPL does not accept liability.
4. The prizes which are distributed by GPL are provided by the respective online partners. Direct all claims of this matter to the respective online partner of the GPL.
5. The dynamic prize pool of GPL grows by 1 $ with each newly registered player. Once the total prize pool has reached 50.000 $ it stops unless the online partner of GPL decides to set a new limit.
VI. Scope/changes of terms and conditions
1. These terms and conditions apply for participation in the GPL.
2. The GPL reserves the right to change these terms and conditions if changes in the interest of the GPL are reasonable for the user. This is particularly the case if the changes are of no disadvantages for the user e.g. changes in the logon process, adapting the terms and conditions in accordance with modified or new services and functions.
3. The user will be notified by e-mail of changes in the terms and conditions and informed that the changes have been accepted if there is no objection within 2 weeks.
4. The GPL reserves the right to change its offer (change of partners, removal or addition of partners, etc.) without prior notice.
VII. Copyright
1. All information such as texts, pictures and videos which are edited on the website of the GPL are protected by copyright.
2. Download and use of material from the website is intended for personal use only. In addition the material provided may not be reproduced, distributed, published, commercially exploited or used otherwise.
3. The user has to pay attention not to violate any rights of a third parties or violate the copyright by entering his user name, maintaining its player or team page or the setting of his team logos.
4. The operating company of this website reserves the right to prohibit the use of user names or logos or to cancel the membership of the user.
VIII. Disclaimer
1. The GPL assumes no liability or no responsibility for the content of external links. For copyright violations that arise from the users at the site via user name or other. Exclusively those operators/authors are responsible for the content of linked sites on the Web page, the team or player page and users in the forum or chat. The GPL dissociates itself from all these contents offered.
2. The GPL gives no guarantees for content correctness and completeness of the editorial contents.
3. The use of services or partners of the GPL is at the members own risk. The GPL does not ensure availability and provision of the services of partners at all times.
4. The GPL can change the offer at any time without prior notice and customize technically or in accordance with the relevant legal provisions. Which contents and services are provided lies in the sole discretion of GPL.
IX. Final clause
1. Shall one or more clauses of these terms and conditions be invalid or will be invalid, it does not affect the validity of remaining agreement.
2. The English law applies.
3. The sole place of jurisdiction is England.
4. Changes of the terms and conditions have to be in writing. This also applies to the cancellation or change of this written form clause.
